A whole big caramel apple on a stick is hard to eat. These caramel apple nachos have all the topping but on top of thin apple slices. Lots easier to eat. I got the recipe from a free book my grandma picked up for me at the grocery store. The kind they have at the end of the register. This one is called the Associated Food Store, Kids Club magazine. Here’s the front cover

And here is a picture of the recipe:

Basically you take caramels, unwrap them, microwave with a little water and pour the mixture over apple slices. Then top with all kinds of stuff. Sprinkles, nuts, Oreo crumbs, or marshmallows.
Here is the recipe:
2 apples cored and sliced thin, arrange on a plate
18 Kraft caramels
2 tsp water
Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave 30 seconds more until melted. Use a glass measuring cup with a pour spout to make pouring onto your nachos easier at the end. Or use a spoon to drizzle caramels all over apples. Top with:
1/4 cups nuts(I used pecans) chopped fine
2 Oreos crushed
Whole mini marshmallows, i only added a few and even cut mine in pieces. I thought they were a weird texture. Marshmallow cream in a jar might be good though.
Eat while warm. Enjoy! :)
