We made this model Magic with some of my brothers friends and they loved it! It was a huge hit.
What You Need:
– 2 Cups Baking Soda
– 1 Cup corn starch
– 1 1/4 cup cold water
Mix together well in a medium size sauce pan.
Cook on medium heat stirring constantly with a rubber or wooden spoon. It took close to five minutes. It gets thick fast. You stop cooking when the mixture looks like mashed potatoes. Scoop into a bowl and cover with a wet towel until it cools. It is too hot at first to pick up.
After it has cooled for a few minutes you can start sculpting. The clay is easy to work with and you can make very fine details carving, imprinting, rolling and cutting. The clay dries over night and then you can sand and smooth out any mistakes and then paint. If you are in a hurry you can dry your projects out in the oven. When I got the recipe it showed pictures of bowls and flowers. We just made simple things using cookie cutters with this batch. We have got to go buy a jumbo box of baking soda so we can make lots more. This stuff is great and feels awesome.
Well I know what I can get the kids to do this weekend – thanks!
