Tissue Paper Flowers

I made a set of these for my aunt when she had a baby 2 years ago and she still has them. You could make them for Mother’s Day, for you teacher, grandma, or even just a center piece in you room!
What You Need:
– Tissue Paper
– Floral Tape
– Paper Covered wire (you could use plain but this works better)
– 1 inch bouncy ball
– Floral stamens

Cut the tissue paper into 2 1/2 by 5 inch pieces.

Put the bouncy ball 1 inch down from the top. It is not centered. The bottom of the flower will have a longer twist than the top. Twist the tissue on both sides of the ball keeping the twist tight against the ball.

Make 4 more petals so you have a total of five. Hold the petals by the twisted ends and gather them in a circle around 3-8 stamens with the cupped sides of the petals facing up upwards. Pinch tightly. Hold the 6-12 inch wire stem up to the twisted part of the petals and start wrapping with floral tape all the way down the stem. The tighter you pull the floral tape the better everything will hold together.
